Heart over Matter (Original Poem)

January 14, 2017

Written by @linzo

Within the tailings of a broken heart

Lies a rock of all sages known to man

In tattered pages called knowledge

That reign in unsuspecting souls

To hoards of fallacies decanted

Uncorked by visionary eyes

Harder, the search for self goes frantic

Lure in matter so shinny to placate

Hunger in seeking diverted to material

As the immaterial metamorphoses the flow

To churn the soul to a desperate craving

Of tastes only known by fond memories

Sensory response alerted by despair

Motioned in a river without sail

In untamed ripples of emotion

Undeterred by passing frowns

No victim to judgemental prose

As heart takes over matter

Please take a look at my book.
