Sharpened to Love ( Original Poem)

A spear sharp and stout, pointed end kissed

By a smith’s crafting hand with a shard

For a blade to taunt an open heart

Kissed by a thousand sparkles of fire

To sharpen the slated edges

Blinding those that love evades

Mistaken for a mirror, it reflects more

Than a face, exposing what’s hidden from love

As a mirror turns detective

Lurking under the blade a mark lies

Engraved in harmony with sharp edges

To honour love everlasting

A touch from the sun’s rays

Spreading like an infectious disease

Love a gift for all to have
